Are you happy with the ROI for your company’s training budget?
You did everything right: you identified a gap in the skills necessary for your team to achieve its goals and you brought in a trainer who provided great information and sound, easy-to-implement tactics. But a month later, you hardly notice any difference in the behaviours you hired the trainer to work on. Why?
Studies have shown that in the absence of follow-up coaching, 87 per cent of the skills learned in the training program were forgotten or simply not implemented.
That’s 87 cents of your training dollar …completely down the drain.
However, skills training with follow-up coaching greatly increases knowledge and skills retention. In other words, if you want the best bang for your training buck, you need both training and coaching.
What can we do for you?
Many talented individuals are promoted as supervisors and managers based on their competence as front-line workers. Once promoted, these new leaders quickly realize they need a different set of skills than what earned them their position. It’s also likely that they have received little to no training in effectively managing people. As a result, they find themselves overwhelmed, frustrated and stressed, hampering their ability to manage and motivate their team.
For those organizations that don’t have in-house training and coaching resources for talent development and a limited budget to send staff for external training, Leadmark has you covered.
At the end of our combined training and coaching program, participants will be able to manage and lead their teams to achieve spectacular results. Leadmark’s program for new and emerging leaders is a certified training provider under the Canada-Ontario Job Grant. Companies that qualify for this grant may be eligible to receive substantial reimbursement of training fees.
